Today was my very first training of CM1 Swim Challenge for Alfie!

It was in wide open water.

I joined at the last minute because I thought that we had to be invited to participate. Our family wanted to do something for Lily's family but we didn't know what to do until we found out such a meaningful challenge. Lily is one of my favorite teachers and my big sister Irina also had her in CM2. My parents, Irina and I are all attached to her. Now we are so happy to be a part of this wonderful team. Thank you so much, Coaches, volunteer parents and my friends!!!

At first, I was a bit scared of sharks, jellyfish, and other dangerous sea animals … but as soon as we started to swim, I felt safe thanks to my dad, the coaches/parents and my friends who were just next to me all the time (there weren't any anyways).

After we swam 1800m, we played on the beach and made a big sand castle for Alfie, a crab even went inside it !

The good things : 1) My friends were there, 2) I didn't get stung by jellyfish, and 3) I got ice cream.

The bad things : 1) I got quite sunburnt, 2) I cut myself with the metal shark net, and 3) I got chased by a wasp .

Though I was very tired in the end, I enjoyed today's training very much. I will come back for all the remaining sessions to hopefully get better at swimming. I hope I will be ready for the final challenge on the 11th of July!
